<p>This mechanical security assembly relates to a telephone set or terminal comprising a case with a hatch. It consists of a hatch-closure sliding lock (7) offering, on the outside of the base (1) of the telephone set or terminal, an actuating head (13) which, in the position of closure of the lock, fits flush into the wall of the base (1), leaving visible only smooth ridgeless surfaces, one (23) of these surfaces being drilled with a catch hole (24) accessible to the tip of a paper-clip or of a ball-point (25).
