The pneumatic-hydrostatic pressure intensifier has a chamber (3) for servo air with a piston (5) in fluid connection with a second chamber (13) which encompasses a second piston (10) with a larger piston surface (11). A pressure chamber (6) for servo oil surrounds the second surface of the first piston. It is in fluid connection with a high-pressure chamber (7) in which a third piston (8) moves, connected to the second piston, and has a small piston surface (9). USE/ADVANTAGE - Intensifier which allows a servo unit, for example a stamping or cutting tool, to travel with minimum force in an idling stroke until a resistance is met, when the unit automatically switches to the working stroke at full force.
