The metering pipe (I) has a carrying pipe (2), inner face (12) of which is covered by lining of plastic, partic. a fluoroplast (II), such as FeP, (sic), PTFE, PFA, (sic) or BETFE (sic). The lining is formed by sections (6) of a flexible tube which overlap one another. In the overlapping regions (8), the radially outer edge regions (10) of the tube sections (6) are held on the inner face (12) of the tube by holding elements (14) fixed on this inner face (12) and the radially inner edge sections (16) of the tube sections (6) covering the holding elements (14), at least at their edges, are joined with the inner faces (22) of the outer edge regions (10) at distance of their edges. USE/ADVANTAGE - Partic. for (I) of large dia. (I) can be linked without difficulty even with large internal dia., lining does not deform significantly due to its own wt. or through subnormal pressure.
