The improvements are applicable to the type of module 1 which can be applied to terminal strips used in distributors and telecommunication lines, the module having an earth plate 2 and a plurality of gas dischargers 4 connecting between the actual strip and the earth. According to the improvements, each discharger 4 is of three-pole type and has two conducting end zones 5 and 5' where respective tabs 6 and 6', which have to connect to individual independent- connection clamps 7 and 7' of the strip, make contact. A central zone of the three-pole discharger 4 is also of a conducting type for connection to earth 2 via a tab or clamp 8 which in turn secures the respective discharger 4. <IMAGE>
