The invention relates to a viscose-damped circular saw blade in which, in a narrow zone between the outer circumference and the axle, a plurality of tangential slots have been notched such that they form tongues. The slots have been filled with a viscous damping substance. The notch zone lies wholly or for the most part outside the circle defined by the mean radius Rm of the blade.
