This turret (1) is designed either for drilling short holes and fitting anchor bolts (J9) in these holes, or for drilling long holes intended for receiving cable bolts. The turret comprises a drilling jar (8) along which a drill (10) moves and which carries a bit clamp (24), and a bolting guide (jar) (9), along which a bolting unit (12) moves. The drill (10) receives a drilling bar (25) for short holes or an elongate pipe belonging to a string of pipes for drilling long holes. A magazine (17) receives, as required, anchoring bolts (19) or elongate pipes, which gripping and transfer means (21) grip and bring, depending on the use of the turret, to the bolting unit (12) or to the drill (10). <IMAGE>
