A vertical transport system, comprising a rope pulley interacting with a mechanical stop, characterised in that the rope pulley (1) is rotatably seated on an axle (2) between plates (3) and (4), whereas at the outside of the plate (4) on the axle (2), there is a centrically mounted blocking disc (6) with circumferential pegs and this disc is pressed to the plate (4) by a spring (7)seated on the axle(2), whereas the rope pulley (1) and plate (4) have apertures (5) to mount the circumferential pegs of the blocking disc (6), but there are non-passage apertures (9) between the apertures (5); besides, there are guide rolls (10) between the plate (3) and plate (4) below the rope pulley (1); whereas the guide rolls (11) are seated rotatably on axles (11) which are of variable base.<IMAGE>
