Equipment to draw lengths of weft from a cone and introduce it intermittently into the shed of a loom, contains a revolving drum. The surrounding weft is tensioned around the drum, and drawn by friction. Arms to hold the weft away from the drum surface are arranged around the drum in a manner which permits them to be expanded or contracted, to give frictional advancement to the weft at the appropriate time. ADVANTAGE - The equipment runs independently, with a saving of energy. The amount of weft provided is exact. It is suitable for high speed looms.
