The billiard table includes a table top (1) equipped with holes (3) at the corners and with holes (4) along the large sides, several independent sets of elements (14, 15) adapted to form a frame (7) delimiting a playing surface, each of the said elements consisting of a part made from rigid material (8) along which a cushion (9) of elastic material is arranged, at least one of the sets including elements (15a-15b, 14a-14d) equipped with cutouts (11a, 11b) formed in order to uncover the abovementioned holes (3, 4). The billiard table can be adapted to billiards of the French type or any type of billiards with holes, of the Italian type, "American pool", "English pool", or "snooker", while still respecting the quality and specific nature of each game. <IMAGE>
