<p>The device is intended for fixing on a bone a ligament or tendon prosthesis consisting of a twist of strands of a polyarylamide fibre provided with end loops. The device comprises a pulley (1) with a groove (10) designed to receive the end loop of the prosthesis, and a conventional self-tapping screw (2). The pulley (1) comprises conical spikes (11, 12, 13) on its face intended to come into contact with the bone. The pulley (1) has passing through it, parallel to its axis, an eccentric passage (14) for the screw (2). Upon positioning of the prosthesis, the pulley (1) is engaged in an end loop, the screw (2) is passed into the passage (14) and is engaged in the bone, but is not locked. The pulley (1) is then pivoted around the screw (2) in order to confer upon the prosthesis a suitable tensioning, and the screw (2) is driven home so that the spikes (11, 12, 13) embed themselves in the bone. <IMAGE></p> |
