<p>An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a frame (4) having a transverse front beam (5) and longitudinal side rails (6) connecting to the respective ends thereof. The front beam (5) of the frame (4) is formed by a plastic part, while the side rails (6) are made of metal rolled section parts, which are attached to the plastic part. The front beam comprises integral holding members for supporting a plastic guide tube for drive cables. In the section parts of the side rails is provided a plastic insert (23) serving as guide for adjusting means of the open roof construction. In this manner there is provided a low cost, low weight and easily adaptable frame. <IMAGE></p> |
