<p>A magnetic head drum (1) of a helical-scan type for data recording and reading apparatus comprises a stationary drum (10) securely mounted on a stationary spindle (11), a sleeve (20) rotatably supported on the spindle (11), a rotary drum (30) mounted on the sleeve (20), and a motor (40) for rotating the rotary drum (30) around the spindle (11). The sleeve (20) has upper and lower flanges (21, 22) radially and outwardly extending from its cylindrical body portion in axially spaced relationship to each other. The motor (40) comprises a rotor (41) secured to the lower flange (22) and a stator (46) secured to the stationary drum (10) in opposed and spaced relationship to the rotor (41). The rotary drum (30) is provided with a magnetic head (32)secured to a resilient head mount (35), and a head adjustment screw (36) which contacts the head mount (35) at its end. <IMAGE></p> |
