METHOD FOR INFLATING A VEHICLE TYRE UP TO A CORRECT FILLING PRESSURE WITH A DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE PRESSURE OF A TYRE

In a method for inflating a vehicle tyre (10) up to a correct pressure using a device for controlling the pressure of a tyre, in which in each case at least the actual value of the pressure of the associated tyre (10, 12, 14, 16, 18) is transmitted from sensor devices (20, 22, 24, 26, 28) allocated to the individual tyres (10, 12, 14, 16, 18) of the vehicle to a central monitoring unit (60) and in this is compared with the corresponding reference pressure, in order to determine the state of the pressure indicating either an excess pressure, an underpressure or the correct pressure, whilst inflating a tyre (10) with the aid of a separate inflation apparatus, the actual pressure state of the tyre (10) in question, determined in each case by the central monitoring unit (60) is relayed to the person operating the inflation apparatus in order to control the inflation.
