PURPOSE:To reduce damage to an auxiliary bag in a device provided with an auxiliary bag for containing a gas discharged from a main bag, by using a gas-permeable material for at least a part of the base cloth of the main bag which, together with the auxiliary bag, forms an air bag. CONSTITUTION:This air bag comprises an anxiliary bag base cloth 1 provided with a synthetic rubber coating layer 5 inside, a main bag upper base cloth 2, and a main bag lower base cloth 3 provided with a synthetic rubber coating layer inside. Their peripheral edges are sewed together by a thread 7 to form a bag. A gas generator 4 is attached to the lower bath cloth 3. The main bag upper base cloth 2 is given gas permeability because it is not furnished with a coating layer. This arrangement allows mist or particular substances in gas to be caught when the air bag expands and to be prevented from reaching the auxiliary bag base cloth 1. |
