<p>PURPOSE:To correctly produce a sound from a target position by allowing the reproduction speed to be the speed corresponding to a signal recorded at the target position without depending upon a signal recorded at the position. CONSTITUTION:When a system controller 12 receives an instruction for searching a song from an operation input device 13, it follows to the instruction and a magnetic tape 2 instructs a fast forward mode or a rewinding mode. Simultaneously control of a mute is performed to a mute controller 9. When a target start ID is detected in the course of a fast forward mode or a rewinding mode, a rewinding mode is performed five times faster than a normal reproducing speed and the top position of the start ID is detected. Here the reproducing speed may be regarded so a speed obtained by a subcord at the top of the recorded start ID. Thereafter a reproducing operation during a time corresponding to a rewinded quantity is performed, a sound production from the top of the target start ID is available by releasing the mute.</p> |
