Microwave catalytic process for reforming hydrocarbons

Process for selectively increasing the reforming of hydrocarbons which takes place on metallic catalysts (platinum etc.) deposited on inorganic oxide supports (alumina, silica etc.) at the expense of cracking reactions. The process consists in performing the catalytic reaction in an electromagnetic field which is sufficiently intense to heat the catalyst under a stream of hydrogen until the products react.
