PURPOSE:To uniformize the time at which each of element tubes constituting a multitube type are attains the stablly lighted-up state. CONSTITUTION:An arc tube 1K of multitube type consists of a plurality of element tubes 1k, wherein the side wall is shared by adjoining tubings 1k over an extent as shown by hatch in the attached illustration. Thereby, heat transfer of element tubes takes place with the shared side wall as a medium for heat conduction between adjoining tubes 1k. |
