The grain tank, particularly for a combine harvester, incorporates filling and discharge mechanisms, being roughly square or rectangular in plan view. All the walls have sections at the top, and whose positions are set by adjusting mechanisms (17,18). Those on the tank sides running in the travel direction of the harvester can hinge, while those on the front and rear walls can be slid vertically, being typically telescopic. Movement of the hinging and sliding sections can be synchronised. Adjustment can be by pnematic or hydraulic rams. There can be a cover joining the hinging sections and following their movements. USE/ADVANTAGE - Grain tank for combine harvester fully utilises space provided by increasing wall height, and is remote-controlled.
