Machine for cutting paper stacks - has bar with two grooves receiving slides driven via worm gears

The machine for cutting stacks of paper, cardboard or plastics has a guide for the cutting bar (3). The cutter (4) which is held in the bar is drawn across the paper stack to make the cut. In order to make the required movement the bar is equipped with two grooves (9,10) in each of which there is a slide (7,8), and these are activated by a worm gear (12) and shaft (17) coupled by a crank (14) and rod (13) hinged on the bar at a point (11). Two parts of the slide (7) are connected by a spring keeping them pressed against the sides (9a,9b) of the groove (9) by pressure on the bolt (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - A single adjustment of the cutter ensures accurate cut.
