The machine is used for loosening and removing coal from a seam. It comprises a conveyor (1) along the floor of the roadway, with coal winning machinery (2) fixed along one side of the conveyor. The winning machinery (2) includes a guide rail (12) which in cross section is hook-shaped with a broad head (13). The basic component (7) is correspondingly profiled internally (14) to accommodate the head (13), and has a locking component (15) shaped like a U- and with threaded pins (16) entered into corresponding drill holes (17). USE/ADVANTAGE - The basic component of the coal winning machine is made of steel avoiding troublesome wear.
