The method coverts heat energy into kinetic energy. The heat energy is used, to heat a working gas, in a a chamber. The gas is at set operational pressure, and brought to a set operational temperature. Expansion is used to bring the gas to a lower relief pressure, to drive a piston in a working chamberr. The chamber is the internal chamber of a working cylinder. The working gas is introduced by momentary opening and closing of an inlet valve (14), into the chamber, which is already at operational temperature. The gas volume corresponds to the volume of the working chamber. The introduction period of the gas is so short, that the valve is already closed again, before any considerable rise in pressure by thermal heating of the gas, takes place.
