PURPOSE:To develop the vapor deposited film having an excellent water vapor barrier property by depositing Al by vacuum evaporation under specific conditions on at least one surface of a plastic film. CONSTITUTION:The plastic film 2 consisting of polypropylene, etc., is wound around a cooling can 6 regulated in temp. to 0 to 30 deg.C and while thermal vapor deposition is directed to a vapor deposition chamber kept under <=9X10<-3>Torr vacuum degree, the Al of >99.9% purity in a crucible 5 is heated to evaporate. The vapor deposited Al layer having >=0.045mu average grain size is deposited by evaporation on the surface of the film 2. The adhesive force of the vapor deposited Al film is so high that the detachment by wear at the time of working and the peeling by floating and blocking are obviated. The vapor deposited film having the excellent appearance and water vapor barrier property is thus obtd. |
