Apparatus for detecting a presence in its capacitive field. The invention relates to an apparatus making it possible to detect a presence or an absence in a capacitive field without direct contact. It consists of a capacitive sensor 311, of an adjustable timer 312, of a memory 316 with zero-reset, of a visual and audible oscillating alarm 314, of an external alarm reporter 313 and of a continuous visual and audible alarm 315, alarm reporter not connected. The apparatus according to the invention is particularly intended for bedridden persons with a minimum of reaction so that the latter can be detected by the capacitive field. <IMAGE>
