The component damps out body noise and/or mechanical vibration, and is esp for domestic use and in sanitation systems. It damping portion (5) is of poreless natural rubber with additives. It can be of between 50 and 75 percent natural rubber, and is mushroom-shaped, with annular ridges (7) on the stem (6), by which it is secured in a drilling (9) in one of the components (3) in pressing home. Its head (10) provides damped shock-absorption on striking a second component(1). There is a rigid supporting rail, to whose underside the component is fixed, bearing against the floor. The top rail surface accommodates the foot of a machine etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - Noise and vibration damping device for domestic sanitation systems. Improved damping effect as compared with synthetic rubber.
