PURPOSE:To enable even a remote controller operator to take an infocus picture by generating an alarm and measuring a range again when range measurement data is larger than a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The camera has a range finding function and a remote control function and when a remote control decision means 16C in a CPU 16 recognizes a remote control operation mode, a distance decision means 16b decides whether or not the measured distance to a subject is longer than a specific distance. When the measured distance to the subject is longer, it is judged that the camera does not accurately measure the distance to the subject and an alarm means 21 warns that the distance to the subject is longer than the specific distance. Consequently, the operator repeats range finding operation until the measured distance becomes shorter than the specific distance and can perform shutter releasing operation after the distance becomes shorter, so that the in-focus picture can be taken. |
