PURPOSE:To eliminate a complicated display picture and make a display picture easy to see by providing an internal timer circuit and automatically displaying necessary information only for a specific time with the signal from the circuit. CONSTITUTION:The internal clock circuit 17 is added to the device and the time can be grasped with this internal clock circuit 17. A period for which special information is displayed is selected and set in this internal clock circuit 17 previously; and then the special information read out of a file device 16 is read out onto a display device 14 through a display control part 10 at specific time, and its display is erased the specific period later. In this case, the display range is limited previously by referring to the current position and destination of a vehicle and then the display can be limited to only the specific information on the periphery of the roads. Therefore, the necessary special information can automatically be displayed for the specific period at the previously set time without requiring any driver's operation. |
