The invention relates to devices for transporting sheets. A path selector for an article in sheet form comprises a distribution path (24) for the introduction of an article in sheet form (45), a pair of transport rollers (22, 23) being located at the end of the distribution path, and first and second discharge paths (25, 28) which are separated by the transport rollers. A line connecting the axes of rotation of the rollers is inclined with respect to a line perpendicular to the direction of transport of the article. The rollers can turn in forward and rearward directions so as to determine the particular discharge path towards which the article is directed.
