<p>PURPOSE:To detect partial discharge or the like attributed to an internal accident in a gas insulated electric apparatus. sealed up with an insulation gas such as SF6 gas. CONSTITUTION:A decomposition gas detector 14 comprising a material susceptible to a decomposition gas is mounted within a path of an insulation gas in such a manner as to remove freely from outside. An irradiation means 22 of laser light (a) is arranged integral with a photodetecting means 23 for detecting the reflected light (b) of the laser light (a) irradiating the decomposition gas detector 14 in a path of the insulation gas facing the decomposition gas detector 14. When the decomposition gas detector 14 is eroded being exposed to the decomposition gas, a change in the angle theta of reflection of the laser light (a) cast on the decomposition gas detector 14 is detected depending on the degree of attenuation of the reflected light (b).</p> |
