PURPOSE:To provide an outdoor unit for a room air conditioner in which an anti-pressure strength is quite high, and for example, in the case that a foreign object strikes against a casing of the unit, a pipe-like expanded part for refrigerant flow is not crushed and a heat exchanging performance can be improved due to an increased heat transmitting surface area. CONSTITUTION:An outdoor unit of a room air conditioner has a casing (1) and a condensor (2) stored in the casing (1) and connected to an indoor evaporator (3) through a pipe. At least a part of the casing (1) is comprised of two aluminum plates (11), (12) connected to each other and the casing is comprised of a laminated plate (4) having a pipe-like expanded part for refrigerant flow of predetermined shaped to be placed at an intermediate part of a pipe connecting the condensor (2) with the evaporator (3). An aluminum blazing sheet reinforcing plate (13) is connected to at least an outer surface of both inner and outer surfaces of the laminated plate (4). |
