Actuation and safety device for an externally powered automatic weapon, comprising a rotor (10) driven by a motor and carrying a stop (14) co-operating with a blocking piece (18), this device comprising, on the one hand, a trigger lever (24) for controlling the fire and a lever (64) subjected to the action of a rotating finger (72) driven by the recoil of the weapon, the trigger lever (24) and the lever (64) being connected to the blocking piece (18) by means of a system of slides (34, 36) and of links (50, 54), ensuring that the rotor (10) is stopped automatically by means of the blocking piece (18) in the event that ammunition functions incorrectly.
