<p>A foldable outside rearview mirror assembly includes a shaft (13) erected on an extending portion of a base (12), a frame (14) having an end plate (17) rotatably inserted into a root portion of the shaft, a mirror housing (15) secured on the frame, a positioning device (20) mounted on the periphery of the shaft which appears over or through the frame, a first washer (28) arranged at the upper portion of the positioning device, a second washer (26) secured on the upper end of the shaft, and a coil spring (27) arranged around the outer periphery of the shaft appearing between the first and the second washers. The positioning device has a plate (21) connected to the shaft rotationally locked therewith, several convex portions provided on the same circumference of the plate, and several concaves (25) formed at the frame end plate to insertingly engage with the convex portions (24), whereby the frame of the outside rearview mirror is prevented from moving vertically and any chattering is not caused on the mirror surface at the time the outside mirror foldingly rotates. <IMAGE></p> |
