The invention relates to a hand-held apparatus for dispensing granules and basically comprises a hand-held casing (11) with a tubular extension (14) supporting an electrically rotatable disc. Granules are supplied from a reservoir through a metering control (27) to the rotatable disc. The rotatable disc (21) included upstanding arcuate walls (21a) arranged to displace the granules supplied to the central region of the rotatable disc towards the edge of the disc with increasing radial acceleration. The apparatus may include a shroud (22), surrounding the rotatable disc (21), to limit the distribution of the granules to a specific arc or arcs based on the rotational axis of the disc (21). |
