MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES SPECIFIC FOR MARROW-DERIVED MESENCHYMAL CELLS

The invention relates to a process for producing monoclonal antibodies which are specific to marrow-derived mesenchymal cells (i.e. mesenchymal stem cells), as well as the monoclonal antibodies th at are produced by the process of the invention. In ad- dition, the present invention is directed to the hybrid cell lines or hybridomas that synthesize and secrete these monaspecific an- tibodies, and the use of the monoclonal antibodies for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes.
