<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-ring biological membrane filter medium which is extremely useful for aerophobic or aerophilic treatment, cuts down time required for treatment, and provides an expanded use range from fouled water treatment to fermentation by providing through holes in a straight pipe with a baffle board installed projecting in the tube, storing a straight pipe of the same structure in the interior and arranging through holes in an outer straight pipe and an inner straight pipe so that the holes stack over the other. CONSTITUTION:Each of fixed biological membrane filter material 1, 1' is composed of straight pipes each having a different diameter, and a rectangular through hole 2 inclined against the shaft of a straight pipe 4 is bored on the lateral side of the through hole 2. In addition, a baffle board 3 which is at right angles with the side wall of the straight pipe 4 and has almost the same area as the through hole 2 is provided projecting from lateral side of the through hole 2 to the interior of the pipe 4. Further, so many through holes 2 and baffle boards 3 are provided so that they are symmetrical against the center line of the straight pipe and the horizontal plane of the axial line respectively, and another straight pipe of the same structure as the straight line 4 are concentrically arranged in straight pipe 4. Finally, the through holes and other parts of an adjacent straight line 4 and another straight pipe are arranged so that the holes and parts stack in a radial line in each other.</p> |
