MULTIPLEXING MODULE FOR OPTICAL FIBER AMPLIFICATION AND OPTICAL FIBER AMPLIFIER USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of light and to realize the simplification and the miniaturization of a device. CONSTITUTION:The multiplexing module 81 for optical fiber amplification is used for the forward excitation an optical fiber amplifier. Exciting light emitted from a pump laser unit 1 is collimated by a 1st lens 3 into parallel light. After an optical connector 11 coupled with an optical fiber makes signal light 10 in a 1.5 (mum) wavelength band incident, a 2nd lens 12 collimates the light into collimated light. Exciting light passes through the 1st lens 3 and signal light passing through the 2nd lens 12 are multiplexed by an interference film filter 13 and passes through an optical isolator 14, and a 3rd lens 15 which forms images both the light and signal light guides projection light 17 form a 2nd connector 16 in an erbium-doped optical fiber through a 1st optical connector 16 arranged at the image formation point of the 3rd lens 15.
