PURPOSE:To obtain the subject member in which only the surface of the fibers is made hydrophilic by forming a chemisorbed monomolecular film containing hydrophilic functional groups through silicon on the surface of an apparel use fiber. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophilic monomolecular film is formed on the surface of an apparel use textile member to make the surface of the textile member hydrophilic. A hydrophilic functional group is fixed by chemical bonding through chemisorbed silicon to the surface of the apparel use textile and the chemisorbed film is free from exfoliation even due to washing, etc. A chlorosilyl group of a compound of formula A-B1-SiXgCl3-g (A is Br, I, CN, SCN, chlorosilyl or ester bond-containing functional group; B is functional group; l is integer of <=30; X is halogen; g is 0, 1 or 2) is reacted with an imino group or a hydroxyl group on the surface of the textile member and the group A is chemically converted into -CN, -SCN, -OH, -COOH, -NH2, -NO2, -SH, -SO3H, etc., or not converted. The objective chemisorbed hydrophilic film is formed thereby on the surface of the textile member. |
