PURPOSE:To obtain a polyol useful as a heat insulating material, etc., having low viscosity and high reactivity, comprising an adduct of an alkanolamine having a hydroxyl number in a specific range with an alkylene oxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyol which is a polyol comprising an adduct of an alkanolamine such as monoethanolamine with ethylene oxide, having 200-600 average hydroxyl number. The polyol is mixed with a blowing agent, a catalyst and other auxiliaries to give a resin stock solution, which is blended with an organic polyisocyanate and foamed to give a rigid polyurethane foam having excellent low-temperature dimensional stability. |
