METHOD OF STORING PHOTOGRAPHIC PROCESSING SOLUTION

The disclosure discloses the storing of a photographic processing solution which is selected from the group consisting of a liquid color developer containing ingredients given below and a liquid bleach-fixer containing ingredients given below in a container made of plastic material whose oxygen permeation coefficient is 0 to 50 m?/(m2 at 20.degree.C and a relative humidity at 60 %. The developer comprises an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; an alkyl-substituted hydroxylamine compound represented by the general formula ¢1!; ¢1! (wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom and a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, provided that at least one of R1 and R2 is an unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and that R1 and R2 may be combined with each other to form a ring) and an alkaline ingredient for making pH of said liquid color developer not less 9.5. The bleach fixer comprises a ferric aminopolycarboxylate, an aminopolycarboxylic acid in an amount of 0 to 1 x 10-3 mol per liter of liquid bleach fixer, a thiosulfate and a sulfite in an amount of 1 x 10-3 to 2 x 10-1 mol per liter of said liquid bleach fixer. With this method there is no need for a procedure to blend the necessary ingredients. The mixture has only a weak toxicity and can be safely handled and stored for a long period of time without loosing its photographic properties.
