PURPOSE:To provide a masking material for image formation for improvement of durability such as resistance against chafing, scratch and bending. CONSTITUTION:A masking material for image formation is of a multi-layer design consisting of a protecting layer 1, an intermediate layer 2, a masking material plate 3, an intermediate layer and a protecting layer 1 laminated sequentially, and the masking material plate 3 has a light shielding layer. In addition, this masking material plate 3 is, for example, formed using a thermal transfer technique or a terminal peel-off technique. The thermal transfer technique is of a thermal fusion type or a thermal sublimable type. |
