PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic toner occurring no fluctuation of density in a long time under a different environment. CONSTITUTION:In the magnetic toner containing at least a magnetic iron oxide and a binder resin, the magnetic iron oxide contains Fe (II) of which content in the magnetic iron oxide is specific ratio and S and W satisfy a specific relation where S (m<2>/g) is BET specific surface area, W (deg) is peak width at half height of diffraction peak of 311 plane of the magnetic iron oxide having spinel structure in X-ray diffraction, or the magnetic iron oxide is heat-treated under a specific condition and contains Fe (II) of which content in the magnetic iron oxide is a specific ratio and D and W satisfy a specific relation where D(mum) is number average particle diameter, W (deg) is peak width at half height of diffraction peak of 311 plane of the magnetic iron oxide having spinel structure in X-ray diffraction. |
