PURPOSE:To recognize the position and shape of a semispherical object to be recognized like a solder in short time by permitting the semisperical object to be irradiated with ring-shaped light and recognizing the position and shape of the object to be recognized by means of the shape of reflected light. CONSTITUTION:Light radiated from a light source 5 is diffused by a diffusion plate 6 so as to be uniformized in the light intensity and transmits the ring slit of a ring slit plate 7 so as to be formed into ring-shaped slit light. Ring- shaped slit light is summed up by a condenser lens 8 so as to be irradiated to the solder 3 of a pilot lamp 1. A TV camera 9 image-picks-up the reflected light of ring-shaped slip light irradiated to the solder 3 so as to output the image signal. The image signal is transmitted to an image recognizing device 10. The shape recognizing part 14 of the image recognizing device 10 recognizes that the solder 3 is uniformly applied when the shape of reflected light is approximate to a complete round. The application of the solder 3 is not recognized to be sufficient when the shape of reflected light is an ellipse. |
