PURPOSE:To manufacture a lightweight sandwich composite molded product consisting of a core composed of a foamed member and the fiber reinforced resin (FRP) layer formed on the outer surface of the core. CONSTITUTION:A preform is formed by laminating a reinforcing fiber body such as carbon fiber cloth to the outer surface of a thermally expansible foamed member suppressed in foaming to be received in a mold and, after the mold is closed, the foamed member is expanded under heating. Next, the resin is injected in the mold and cured under heating to efficiently prepare a lightweight sandwich composite molded product having good appearance and physical properties. |
