PURPOSE:To easily and always obtain a stable image by replenishing toner in consideration of a toner concentration on a photosensitive drum and written image information. CONSTITUTION:The image density controller is provided with an image density sensor 10 measuring the toner concentration on the photosensitive drum 26, an original image processing part 8 detecting the area of an written image, a toner replenishing device 16 replenishing the toner to a developing device, and a toner replenishing value deciding part 12 for inputting toner concentration information outputted from the image density sensor 10 and the written image information from the original image processing part 8. The toner replenishing value deciding part 12 executes a prescribed fuzzy composite operation through the use of a fuzzy rule registered in advance, and a membership function obtained as the result is nonfuzzified, so that a toner replenishment operating value to the toner replenishing device 16 is decided. |
