PURPOSE:To enable development faithful to original and signal, that is, a latent image and to ensure high resolution and high fine line reproducibility. CONSTITUTION:In a magnetic toner based on a binding resin and a magnetic body made of a metal oxide, the shape of the magnetic body is acicular, the ratio of the major axis size to the minor axis size is 2-4 and the specific surface area is 10-20m<2>/g. Since the magnetic body is moderately present near the surface of the toner, electrostatic aggregation is weakened and upstanding tuft of the toner on a toner support is made uniform. The residual magnetization of the toner is not increased and a stable image is obtd. |
