OPTICAL FIBER CORD WITH CONNECTOR

PURPOSE:To improve the stability of the propagation time in an optical fiber cord with a connector which uses an optical fiber having the negative coefficient of linear expansion. CONSTITUTION:The optical cord with the connector has the coated optical fiber 1 which has the connector 2 mounted at least at one end and also has the negative coefficient of linear expansion and a fiber storing means 4 which is stored internally with the coated optical fiber 1 in a free movable state and connected to the connector 2. The fiber storing means 4 has a gap G where a part of the coated optical fiber 1 is exposed and a holding means 6 which holds the end part of the fiber storing means 4 positioned in the vicinity of the gap G is provided; and stress operating on the coated optical fiber 1 is absorbed by the difference in coefficient of linear expansion between the coated optical fiber 1 and fiber storing means 4.
