VECTOR QUANTIZATION METHOD

摘要

PURPOSE:To implement vector quantization at a high speed with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:At first same vectors are combined and one of the combined vectors is selected as a representative vector. A representative vector having a least combined vector number is selected. Than the selected representative vector is used for a first vector for search and then vectors close to the selected representative vector are detected. Then the other representative vector is combined with the one representative vector as vectors of the same vector value. The processing combining the closer vectors is repeated till a prescribed threshold level is obtained to decrease number of vectors with different vector values.
