PURPOSE:To securely insert a wire electrode into an electrode inserting fine hole by arranging in such a way that the insertion of said wire electrode into said fine hole is simultaneously carried out with the operation of forming said electrode inserting fine hole, in a wire-cut electric discharge machining means. CONSTITUTION:When an electrode inserting fine hole for inserting a wire electrode 2 is formed in a workpiece 34, the end of an electrode 2 which is positioned near the end of a fine tube type electrode 1, and which, together with the end of the electrode 1, is already being inserted into the electrode inserting fine hole, is sent out toward a nozzle device 12 by the action of capstan of a brake roller-capstan 29. And, after inserted into and caught by a die guide 17, it passes through a guide holder 17a and a rubber valve 21, and, when it reaches and is engaged with a wire electrode take-off device consisting of a capstan 31 with which a pinch roller 32 is brought in contact and separated, and others, the end of the electrode 2 is forcedly taken into the device. Thus, the wire electrode can be securely inserted into the fine hole. |
