PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound, having lipoxygenase enzymic inhibitory activity and useful for treating inflammatory diseases, allergies and cardiovascular diseases. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by formula I [X is methylene, O or S; (m) is 1-3; (n) is 1 or 2; R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl, aryl, etc., and R1 may be bound to any position on the ring; the cyclic amine which is a linking group may be bound to any position on the benzene ring], e.g. N-hydroxy-N-[4-(1-pyrrolidyl) benzyl] urea. The compound expressed by formula I is obtained by reacting hydroxylamine expressed by formula II with trimethylsilyl isocyanate in a solvent such as THF at ambient temperature to the refluxing temperature. |
