PURPOSE:To provide such a type of a plate that an active material may hardly fall off a core member while also an active-material layer may hardly peel off the core member. CONSTITUTION:Paste for an active material having reinforcing fibers 4 mixed thereinto is applied to both faces of a porous sheet 3 so as to form the half section 20a of an uncured active-material layer 20 on the obverse side of the sheet and the half section 20b of the uncured active-material layer 20 on the reverse side of the sheet. Each of needles 6 is thrusted into the part 21 of the uncured active-material layer 20 corresponding to each of through holes 3a in the porous sheet 3. The needle 6 is entered into the part until it is reached at a position beyond a boundary section 5 between the half section 20a of the uncured active- material layer on the obverse side of the sheet and the half section 20b of the uncured active- material layer on the reverse side of the sheet. A raw material 100 for a pole-plate, wherefrom the needles 6 are extracted, is passed between a pair of rollers so as to stop the eye of each of the needles, and thereafter it is dried. As a result of this process, the reinforcing fibers present in the half section 20a of the uncured active-material layer on the obverse side or the sheet are respectively entwined with the reinforcing fibers present in the half section 20b of the uncured active-material layer on the reverse side of the sheet. |
