Most boxes for stacking and bundling of newspapers for like materials) normally require either careful lifting of the newspapers while bundling them or placement of string prior to the placement of the first item in the box. If string is placed then guides are sometimes used to keep the string in place. In our invention the newspapers are elevated on a platform and the box is open sided so that string can be placed under the elevated platform and tied around the stack without the need to lift the newspapers. As well, the open sided box design and elevated platform allows the placement of the string to be done at any time the user requires the stack to be bundled.
